Scenography

The Prada Foundation is undertaking an innovative project on a redeveloped industrial site, aimed at offering a variety of contemporary art spaces. The conceptual diversity of the collection, including paintings, sculptures, objects, films, installations, etc., is enhanced by curatorial choices aligned with the project’s space typologies. The design takes into account conservation constraints and allows for the future adaptation of exhibition spaces, even the creation of specific areas. The exhibition space is seen as a meeting place for works of art and visitors, underlining the importance of scenography in creating optimal presentation conditions. Despite budgetary and renovation constraints, scenographic equipment and lighting are flexible technical tools, enabling the composition of exhibitions in harmony with the characteristics of the works and the curatorial ambitions. The aim is to create a balanced scenography, offering specific spaces with a distinct atmosphere while maintaining neutrality and flexibility for the presentation of works and exhibitions.
