Seaquarium

The scenographic project proposes a new visitor tour in continuity with the existing aquarium, but more open to the Mediterranean. Conceived as a space for discovery, encounters, and experimentation, it combines sensory immersion and scientific mediation accessible to all audiences. The tour is organized around three sequences — Plankton, Nekton, and the Mediterranean — each developing a specific spatial and lighting atmosphere. The first sequence plunges the visitor into a vast, luminous circular space, where bluish threads and evanescent images create an immersive universe around plankton. A central “animation platform” hosts mediations, events, and rest areas. The second sequence offers a darker and more organic atmosphere, featuring bioluminescent fish, cuttlefish, and a large pelagic tank, offering a spectacular immersion into the heart of schools of fish. The Mediterranean sequence opens onto the actual landscape with a belvedere-terrace facing the sea. The aquariums and mediation devices are integrated into a decor inspired by marine reliefs and depths. The entire project is based on a close integration between scenography, audiovisuals, and lighting, designed to guarantee immersion, technical scalability, and quality of visit.
