Scenography

The museographic project is based on the concept of the “Fabbrica”. It is a living, moving place, a place of production and creation. The Fabbrica is also, figuratively speaking, the factory of symbols and links between state and citizen. A place that inherits from history, a pioneering vision of a united, efficient and productive Italy, and projects it into the present and future. The scenography occupies the spaces, restoring an industrial scale and a productive dynamic; it offers spectacular immersions, but also interactive and engaging devices, enabling visitors to understand the production processes, the multiplicity of products and to realize the extent to which the IPSZ accompanies their daily lives. The scenography is based on industrial heritage architecture: overhead travelling cranes, glass roofs, structures and machines are all preserved and play a part in the staging. The wide plinths for staging the machines, made of raw materials, interact with the finesse and precision of the collections: coins, medals, stamps… Interactive installations and mediation modules use scale and zoom to help visitors read and understand how these products are made, while at the same time emphasizing their artistic qualities.
