Scenography

La salle du MIROIR plays on the paradox between a naturally enclosed space and a semi-transparent/semi-reflective signal, which highlights a reception hall and walkways leading to its center. The staging and discovery of the space begins right from the forecourt! On performance evenings, the illuminated façade sparkles in the sea breeze, inviting and immersing the audience in a warm, flexible, and adaptable space. The seating area is triptych-shaped, drawing the audience towards the stage. Depending on the desired level of intimacy or capacity, the upper rows can be concealed by a partition curtain, discreetly integrated into the ceiling. The tiered proscenium pit can be covered, allowing the capacity to be adjusted while offering an extension of the stage space. This modularity gives spectators a different auditorium every time they visit! The functional success of the project lies in the efficient organization of its artistic backstage area. Artists and companies enjoy pleasant dressing rooms surrounding the catering area in front of a landscaped terrace. Everything is in place to cultivate team spirit! In terms of logistics and technology, tour managers and technicians benefit from a single-level layout that brings together the stage floor, backstage buffer space, delivery dock, and storage areas. The freight elevator provides direct access to the auditorium/stage walkways and the stage ceiling. The faux-gril offers great flexibility by allowing the movement of 12 motorized sliding carriers. Curtains, drapes, screens, and sets can thus be positioned at the desired height. All the stage infrastructure and networks support a comfortable, functional auditorium that can be adapted to suit any production.
