Scenography
The Annecy Animation Film City is an ambitious urban creation that blends the imagination of cinema with the dynamism of the city. The project harmoniously combines modernity and tradition in the heart of the historic National Stud Farm site. Around the former quarry, now a central square with its “animated water basin,” it opens up new public spaces and creates more places to meet. Heritage, landscape, architecture, and scenography intertwine here in a world where history meets innovation, creating a vibrant and welcoming setting for all visitors and residents of Annecy. The Manège hall rediscovers its historic volume and remarkable framework. It becomes an event and cultural space, equipped with new hanging and lighting systems. Pre-wired networks, cable ducts, smooth surfaces, and faux-gril enable it to host large temporary exhibitions, trade shows, cocktail parties, and hackathons. The new screening room adjoins the Manège in a contemporary and hyper-flexible extension. This surprising room changes its appearance depending on the event, providing a new experience with each visit. Its retractable seating offers more than 330 seats, but also acts as a gauge slider. When retracted, it frees up a large floor space and can divide the room into two separate, adaptable areas. The warm and welcoming room is fully glazed, allowing natural light to filter in during exhibitions, trade shows, or conferences. In cinema mode, an ingenious blackout system plunges it into total darkness. Its projection booth and sound system make it a certified screening room.
