Scenography

The Marengo multimodal hub in Toulouse is a vast facility designed for users of various local, national, and international modes of transport. It welcomes a massive flow of passengers from the Matabiau Gares hub, as well as from the metro and the new bike station. The Marengo hub also houses service areas. The complex forms a dynamic urban “third place” for the benefit of users and local residents.
The scenographic elements blend seamlessly into the hybrid spaces of the Marengo hub, including a café/climate center, an event hall, and the forecourt with its urban canopy, which can be used for spectacular installations and displays. The circulation spaces on the R-1 level feature museum-style displays.
All of these scenographic features promote social interaction, stimulate creativity, and reinforce a sense of community, while maintaining the complex’s primary function as a multimodal transport hub. These scenographic installations help to create a dynamic living space rather than a simple transit point.
