Scenography

Quai Saint-Serge is an up-and-coming neighborhood in Angers. Real estate developer LINKCITY has decided to develop L’ÎLOT ACTIF there: a mixed-use, innovative building with a concert hall/club inside. The concert hall project is being led by J.Y. Kerhornou, owner of the iconic Joker’s Pub. This popular venue suffers from a lack of space. The future venue will therefore complement this with a capacity of 500 people. A cross between a club/nightclub and a concert hall, its spatial concept is enveloping, intimate, and level, offering spectators multiple and unique viewpoints. The frontality of the pit and the tiers turns sideways onto enveloping ambulatory… Ultimately, the levels of perception are multiple and immersive. The hall is modular according to the capacity or concerts, changing its appearance to offer visitors a renewed experience. The pit can accommodate a standing audience for concerts or dance parties, as well as a seating area with chairs for seated concerts or sports broadcasts. A tiered seating system can be adjusted to accommodate different capacities by arranging large, level platforms with tables or sofas.
To complement this flexibility of use, a faux-gril spans the entire ceiling. Three motorized mother grids facilitate the hanging of stage equipment. Projectors, speakers, and video systems can be adjusted, oriented, and adapted as needed. The control positions are pre-wired. The audiovisual and stage lighting networks allow for the use of new digital technologies and the latest protocols.
