Scenography

The Grand Palais is an emblematic building, also our project is designed to fit seamlessly into this strong heritage context. The new central space is a Third Place located between the Grande Nef and the Palais de la découverte. It brings together a wide range of modular activities for the general public, including expectations, meetings, discoveries, bookshops, educational workshops, play areas, etc. This large volume is flexible enough to accommodate events organised by the RMN and Univers Sciences. The north wing has been refurbished to include convivial foyer areas, 2 auditoriums and mediation workshops dedicated to schools and various audiences. The aim is to consolidate a unique visitor experience and a strong programmatic identity. The large auditorium is a flexible, modular space. It is equipped with a 244-seat telescopic seating area, enabling to multiply the room configurations with conferences, debates, screenings, live performances, artistic installations, wanderings, etc. Compact and intimate, the small auditorium seats 98 people. It is dedicated to conferences, meetings, debates, screenings, etc.The foyers and the mediation workshops are directly linked to the auditoriums. The north wing is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
