Scenography

The Royan Convention Center is a landmark building in the city of Royan, located on the seafront. Representative of the modern era and the reconstruction of Royan in the 1950s, it underwent significant modifications in the 1980s. The project, led by Pierre Ferret, son of the building’s original architect, Claude Ferret, consisted of restoring the palace’s original architecture and volume, particularly the iconic Prouvé panel facade.The scenographic project brings modularity to the Saintonge hall with a set of 400 retractable seats that can be stored
under the stage area, offering great flexibility in the use of space. The hall can accommodate around 440 people seated, but can also host events or exhibitions in a flat space. The modern architecture of the hall has been restored, and the scenographic hanging devices are discreetly integrated into the ceiling and along the renovated façade. A large motorized blackout curtain along the façade provides the darkness required for certain events. All of the audiovisual and lighting systems have been renovated, and the control room has been equipped with the latest audiovisual technology for conferences and events.
