Scenography
The permanent exhibition History of the universe, from the big bang to the grain of sand presents the major stages in the history of the universe in three thematic areas: the universe in question, the stars and galaxies, and the solar system, which are articulated around a “universe cube”; a space with blurred boundaries, dedicated to dreams and the imaginary, where the means invented and imagined by man to explore the cosmos are presented. A breath of fresh air, this cube acts as a link between the various themes. The overall composition alternates these sensory and immersive spaces with mediation trays featuring a wide variety of didactic devices (games, models, physical manipulations and optical theaters). It is this variety of messages and approaches – scientific, artistic, humanistic and poetic – that enables visitors, whether amateurs, scientists, novices or children, to better understand our universe and weave their own links between the different themes. The graphic vocabulary and illustrations, both artistic and scientific, give this exhibition a unique and highly aesthetic identity. Picto, hand-drawn illustration, characters, space-time grid
